The Stopwatch Bar & Grill is one of a kind. Located in the quaint cowboy town of Makawao, Stopwatch is a lively neighborhood sports bar with a great menu, terrific service, and a laid back atmosphere. Set slightly back from Makawao Ave, you could easily drive right past it, but one step inside and you’ll discover why Stopwatch is such a local favorite. The cathedral ceiling and outdoor seating area provide an airy, open space to enjoy a frosty mug of local beer and a burger with a crowd that includes locals and tourists alike.
Stopwatch has plenty of draft beer to choose from, including Kona Brewing Company’s Lavaman Red Ale, a local brew you can only get at select pubs (they don’t bottle it). Stopwatch regulars rave about the Grilled Ahi Sandwich, the Veggie Burger and the Cheeseburger. Occasionally, Beef Tomato is offered as a special (strips of beef with hearty slices of Kula tomatoes), a dish that has become a true favorite. If you are looking for a laid-back place to have a burger and beer and watch a game, Stopwatch is the place to go. Happy hour is 3:30-6:30, and festive line-up of live musicians makes Stopwatch a real treat.
