Executive Chef Sheldon Simeon is the culinary genius behind Star Noodle’s innovative menu, combining island flavors and local products in each of his mouthwatering creations. After making it to the final 3 in the 10th season of Top Chef on Bravo TV, Simeon has even more fans and foodies flocking for the noodles. Get ready to wait at least a couple hours for a table during peak times. A long wait? Yes, but your taste buds and tummy will thank you!

A medley of pan-Asian appetizers and salads can be ordered as family-style share plates. Enjoy savory selections like the pohole salad, a local favorite made with Hana fiddle head ferns, Maui onion, ebi and kombu; the Filipino “Bacon & Eggs” dish with crispy pork belly, 62-degree egg, tomato and onion; rib eye; ahi belly; and Vietnamese crepe with shrimp, pork and bean sprouts.

Of course, there are oodles of noodle dishes! These delectable dishes, all featuring handmade noodles made daily in-house, bridge a variety of Asian cuisine and are prepared in every which way you can imagine. Try the hapa ramen (hapa means “mixed ethnicity” in Hawaiian) made with pork broth, roast pork, poached egg, bamboo shoots, kamaboko, baby bok choy and spicy miso. There’s also kim chee ramen for those who like it hot, buckwheat soba for those who like it healthy, pad Thai, fried saimin and good ‘ol local saimin to name a few more.

To wrap things up, Star Noodle’s short but sweet dessert menu offers mango pudding, a trio of Star made ice creams and malasadas, fried dough covered in sugar with chocolate and butterscotch caramel sauces. Yum!
