There’s a reason why Sansei is buzzing anytime of the year. Restaurateur D.K. Kodama and his team of stellar chefs created a winning combination of contemporary Japanese cuisine and a no-fuss, down-to-earth ambience. The menu is extensive to fit all sorts of palate, and irresistible dishes like the panko-crusted ahi sashimi roll, mango crab salad roll wrapped in mamenori, and Dungeness crab ramen in Asian truffle broth have made Sansei a favorite dining destination among many.

Since its first Kapalua location in 1996, Sansei has expanded to Waikiki and Waikoloa on the Big Island. The Kihei location opened in 2002 and offers the same ingenious selections, plus late night dining from Thursday to Saturday. These nights draw a fun crowd that arrives for the discounted sushi and lingers for some festive karaoke.
