Henna Lounge
While mingling with local natives you’ll notice local customs such as the wearing of leis, a dress code reduced to a swimsuit and slippers, and intricate tribal art tattooed on their tanned skin. Whereas the first two are easy to mimic, a permanent tattoo might be more of a commitment. Fortunately, with the Henna Lounge on Front St., Lahaina, you can embrace all aspects of the Hawaiian culture and display a beautiful piece of tribal art, or any other kind of expression, on your skin while you enjoy the islands — temporarily!
Henna tattoos are a form of temporary tattoo using a paste made from the powdered leaves of the Henna plant. The temporary tattoos can last days or weeks with the right care giving you the look of an honorary Hawaiian — at least while you’re on vacation. The Henna Lounge only uses naturally made products used for decorating the body.
Located off the main drag of Front St., Lahaina. You can eat, drink, shop and get inked all on the same block. They also have feather hair extensions, hair wraps and locally made jewelry. Just don’t be surprised afterwards when a tourist approaches you for directions!
