Hawaiian Village Coffee
Tucked in Kahana Gateway Center, this West Maui coffee shop has the neighborhood jazzed up with more than java. There’s a full espresso bar and delicious Hawaii-grown coffees expertly brewed, iced or blended by a friendly barista. Caffeine isn’t your thing? Opt for the thick smoothies, shave ice, or Roselani ice cream. And if the vacation is making you feel particularly debaucherous, we have two words—Ka’anapali mudslide, which is mocha macadamia nut ice cream and coffee blended together in sinful decadence.
Fresh treats like cheese danish, cinnamon rolls, oats scones, banana bread and bagels are delivered daily from local bakeries. The menu offers breakfast and lunch sandwiches with a vegan soup special. You won’t go wrong with their smoked salmon and lox on a bagel, chicken salad pita sandwich, tuna melt or any of the paninis. You can also build a picnic basket with their pre-made sandwiches, chips and wide assortment of bottled drinks.
Hawaiian Village Coffee provides computer and Internet services at an affordable rate. While hanging out, grab a book from its small library or peruse the wall of Hawaiian souvenirs, memorabilia, and local art to take a little Aloha back home.
