After Owner and Chef, Chris Jorgensen, got tired of seeing all the tourist traps overcharging vacationers for the same old meals, he opened CJ’s Deli & Diner. Right away he produced a rock star menu and was picked best 'Big Meals, Small Wallet' by LA Times.

This place has something for everyone. From fresh fruit to Loco Moco for breakfast to the ubiquitous Hawaiian plate lunches featuring BBQ Ribs, Mahi Mahi or Chicken. Hot wings and cheesy garlic fries are perfect to bring along while watching any sport, all though I have heard CJ’s perfect portobello mushroom panini is permissible in certain circles.

Before heading to the other side of the island, stop in and grab the special Hana Box Lunch packed in a cooler with ice and ready to take on the curvy roads. CJ’s also has all the sandwiches and burgers you can handle, and a special gluten free and vegetarian menu, and of course one for the little ones who can be themselves in the restaurant’s chillaxed atmosphere.
