Duke's Beach House Maui
Named after the “father of international surfing” Duke Kahanamoku, Duke’s Beach House reflects the beloved Waikiki Beachboy’s Aloha and fun-loving spirit while serving ono grindz (great food) all day long. Located poolside of the Honua Kai Resort in Ka’anapali, enjoy the ocean view and cool breeze while getting a glimpse of Duke’s incredible life through the memorabilia that adorn its walls.
Breakfast highlights include peppered ahi bennies with Maui onions and wasabi drizzle; banana macadamia nut pancakes; and the breakfast sandwich with slow-roasted pulled pork, eggs, pepper jack cheese inside soft Hawaiian sweet bread. For lunch, don’t miss the panko-crusted calamari with guava cocktail sauce and Meyer lemon remoulade; or the freshly caught fish tacos with cilantro lime-cream and avocado-tomato salsa. Dinner favorites include blackened sashimi with edamame and cucumber salad, or sautéed macadamia nut and herb-crusted fish with Haiku tomato lemon caper butter. The fresh catch can also be baked Duke’s style with garlic, lemon and sweet basil glaze. Entrees are served with house rice and seasonal grilled veggies, with delicious add-ons like creamed Maui-grown corn, and black bean bok choy and mushroom. As for the sweet stuff, share the Kimo’s original hula pie—macadamia nut ice cream on an Oreo crust and topped whipped cream and hot fudge.
Once a month on Fridays, musician Henry Kapono plays from 5-7pm. Food and beverage service spreads out on the oceanfront lawn where families lay out blankets and let the keikis (children) run free while everyone enjoys some slack key strumming and their favorite Kapono tunes.
